The Past Always Seems Present: the Aftermath of Genocide”

April Crabtree, a Fulbright Scholar at the Kraków Pedagogical University, will discuss approaches to the study and prevention of genocide since the Holocaust. (Lecture in English)

Chanukah Workshop for Children

An afternoon of activities and crafts for children, explaining the traditions behind the Jewish festival of Chanukah. All welcome.

Workshops, 4 PLN per child.

Celebration of Chanukah

The Galicia Jewish Museum invites you to join in lighting the candles for Eruv Chanukkah. The evening will include traditional latkes potato cakes, an introduction to the history and ritualsof the festival, and playing the game of dreidl. Further information available at Museum Reception.

The 700th Anniversary of the Kraków Jewish Community.

As part of the ceremonies commemorating the 700th anniversary of the Kraków Jewish community, the Galicia Jewish Museum is hosting a reception to follow a concert at Tempel Synagogue. Closed event: entry by invitation only. The Museum will close early in order to prepare for this event.
