The Galicia Jewish Museum exists to celebrate the Jewish culture
of Galicia and to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust,
presenting Jewish history from a new perspective.
Our Goal
To enrich the communities of the world in the understanding of the
history and culture of the Jewish people of Galicia. In addition the
Museum offers a forum for inter-cultural education and dialogue.

Commissioning and curating
exhibitions showing the Jewish history and culture of Galicia
Providing educational programs
relating to Jewish history and culture
Publishing materials relating to
Jewish culture and history in written and electronic format
Providing a forum for
multi-cultural dialogue and understanding
Arranging for the dissemination of Museum exhibitions and
publications to wider audiences around the world

The Galicia Jewish Museum mourns the
death of its Founder and Director, Chris Schwarz (1948-2007)
